Direct Admission in Amity University 2026 — No Exam, Eligibility & Process

ASAT explained ASAT (Amity Scholarship Aptitude Test) is Amity's own entrance test. It is NOT mandatory for admission — it's optional, and the primary benefit is scholarship eligibility. Students who appear for ASAT and score well get 10–25% fee waiver. You can join Amity without appearing for ASAT, but you'll miss out on scholarship benefits.

1. Choose your program + campus. Amity has 10+ campuses — Noida, Mumbai (Panvel), Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Raipur, Patna, Gwalior. Select the city closest to you or most relevant for your career.
2. Check eligibility. Minimum 50% in 10+2 for UG programs. Minimum 50% in graduation for PG programs. Some programs like B.Tech or BDS require PCB/PCM.
3. Apply online at amity.edu. Fill the application form, upload documents, pay ₹1,100 registration fee.
4. Appear for ASAT (optional but recommended). Even if you don't need it for admission, sit ASAT for the scholarship. It's a 90-minute online test — MCQs in English, Reasoning, General Awareness.
5. Receive provisional admission letter. Usually within 5–7 working days of application.
6. Pay first semester fee to confirm seat. Most Amity campuses require fee payment within 15 days of offer letter to secure the seat.

Seats filling fast Amity's popular programs (MBA, BBA, B.Tech at Noida and Mumbai) have limited seats. If you've decided on Amity, apply now — don't wait till July end. Many programs see waitlists by June-end for the August batch.

ASAT (Amity Scholarship Aptitude Test) is technically optional for direct admission programs, but skipping it is a money mistake. A good ASAT score (above 70%) can get you a scholarship ranging from 10% to 50% of your annual tuition fee. On a ₹1.5L/year program, that's ₹15,000–75,000 per year saved. Over 3–4 years, that's real money.

The test is free to appear, conducted online, and takes about 90 minutes. It covers English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning — standard aptitude material. Prepare for 2–3 days using any MBA entrance mock test paper and you should score comfortably above 60%.

If you're applying for MBA, ASAT is essentially mandatory — you need it for the scholarship interview. For BBA, B.Com and BA programs, you can skip it, but we'd recommend not to.

The process is quicker than most students expect. Here's the exact sequence:

1. Go to amity.edu/admission and select your program and campus (Noida, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, etc.).
2. Fill the application form — basic personal details, 10+2 marks, preferred specialization. This takes 10–15 minutes.
3. Pay the application fee — ₹1,100 (non-refundable). Pay online via UPI or card.
4. Receive your admit letter within 3–5 working days. This confirms your eligibility and admits you tentatively to the program.
5. Attend the Personal Interview (PI) — for MBA it's in-person at campus; for most UG programs it's a quick online interaction (15 minutes, not eliminatory, just verification).
6. Pay semester 1 fees to confirm your seat. Most programs allow fee payment in two instalments — first instalment of 50% locks the seat.
7. Document verification at campus or via courier — original marksheets, ID proof, 6 passport photographs, migration certificate (if from outside the state).

Our advice: Apply by end of June for the August batch. Popular programs like BBA, MBA and LLB fill up fast at the Noida campus — and once a batch is full, you're pushed to the January intake or a different campus.

This is a question we get from almost every Amity applicant. Here's the honest breakdown:

• Noida (Main Campus): Best for placements, networking and campus life. Largest alumni network. Most corporate connections. Slightly higher fees than other campuses. If you can afford it and your career ambition is corporate India, choose Noida.
• Mumbai: Strong for finance and media. Good placement partnerships with Mumbai's BFSI sector. Fees are comparable to Noida. Better for students from Maharashtra who want to stay connected to the local job market.
• Jaipur / Lucknow / Raipur: Lower fees, smaller campuses, but same curriculum and degree. Good option if you're on a tight budget or prefer a less competitive campus environment.

The degree certificate says "Amity University" regardless of campus. The campus difference shows in placement quality and peer network, not in the credential itself.

For BBA and B.Com, Amity's fees (₹1.0–1.8L/year) are competitive with other private universities of similar reputation. The campus infrastructure, industry exposure events, and brand recognition genuinely add value — especially in North Indian job markets where Amity carries weight.

For MBA, the calculation changes. At ₹5–7L/year, Amity's ROI depends heavily on which specialization you pick and whether you leverage the campus placement office. Finance MBA at Amity Noida is genuinely strong. General MBA at a smaller Amity campus at ₹7L/year is harder to justify — you'd be better off with Manipal Online MBA at ₹2.5L total.
