NIT Meghalaya — Regular, Fees and Admission 2026-27

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has released the NIRF ranking 2025. As per the rankings, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya has achieved an NIRF rank of 83 in the engineering category with a score of 48.21.

NIT Meghalaya cutoff 2025 has been released by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) through JEE Main counselling process. The cutoffs will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks. Based on NIT Meghalaya cutoff for 2025, candidates will be allocated seats into respective BTech courses.

NIT Meghalaya JEE Main Cutoff 2025: Round 6 (General Category)

NIT Meghalaya JEE Main Cutoff 2025 round 6 has been released for admission to the B.Tech courses. NIT Meghalaya B.Tech cutoff 2025 round 6 closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering stood at 24074 in the general category for All India quota. The campus life is good. Apart from the academic curriculum, students can participate in various events organized by the different clubs. The college also conducts several sports events. The institute organizes workshops where students can participate and learn new technologies to enhance their skills. A good gender ratio is maintained in college admissions. However, the students face a bit of constraint because of the temporary campus.

The infrastructure at the National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, is good. The NIT Meghalaya is built on 300 acres of land. The place is pollution-free and green, with many on-campus facilities. The classrooms are good, and the labs are well equipped with all the necessary equipment. The hostels are good with good quality food. The entire campus, as well as the hostels, is well connected through wifi. A 24 hrs medical service is also provided. There are several sports and game clubs where students participate actively.

The campus has state-of-the-art facilities for conducting industry interviews smoothly. It has a well-furnished hall with 100 for pre-placement talks called Rendezvous, a well-furnished GD room to hold discussions with a crew of 12 persons and 3 moderators called Oval, and 3 interview rooms. The hall also has 30 computers with client servers to help conduct online tests and video conferencing with industrial people for pre-placement talks so that the students can better understand the actual situations.

National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya Facilities

The NIT Meghalaya campus has an extensive library with over 13,000 books in various disciplines of Arts, Science, Humanities, Engineering, and Technology. Any institute member, be it students, faculty, or staff members, can avail of these books at any time. The institute also has a collection of journals and other materials that they can refer to for academic and research purposes.

The students who get admitted to this institute get hostel facilities. There are seven boys' hostels and two girls' hostels. The hostels are well connected through Wi-Fi and a gymnasium for the students. The mess food is good and hygienic and is well maintained.

 The institute also has a computer centre that has over 200 high-power machines with the latest technologies and eight servers so that the students can get the maximum benefits through online information.

NIT Meghalaya also has sports facilities like football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, cricket, carom, chess, LAN games, etc.

• Merit scholarships are also given to B.Tech students where a scholarship of 40% of the tuition fee is awarded to the top 5 % of the students based on the CGPA obtained in the last semester
• A merit-cum-means scholarship is given to a B. Tech student who belongs to the non-creamy layer and obtains a CGPA of 7.0 or above, and their parent's income is not more than 4.5 lakhs per annum. A scholarship of 40% of the tuition fee is awarded to the top 5 % of the students.
