School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi was established in 1962. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is part of the Campus of Open Learning (COL) and its goal is to give students who can't go to regular college a flexible and welcoming education.  In addition to other support centres, the school also has a South Study Centre in South Moti Bagh, New Delhi, to help with academic and administrative tasks. DUSOL's courses offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes through a number of different academic departments. It has about 15 academic departments that offer its programs. These include Management, Commerce, English, Hindi, History, Tamil, Economics, Urdu, Punjabi, Political Science, Sanskrit, and Environmental Studies, among others.

According to the University of Delhi, admissions to undergraduate courses at DU SOL are based on merit, while admissions to postgraduate courses are based on merit and entrance exam scores. All programs follow the University of Delhi's rules for academics, exams, and degrees.

DU SOL Admission Process 2026

University of Delhi's School of Open Learning (SOL) follows the DU university norms for admissions. DU SOL admission is done through a central online process. DU SOL Examination Process

Self-Assessment

DU SOL students must take the internal assessment. It is done before the end-of-semester exam through online tests or assignments, as the official DU SOL website says.

Submitting Examination Form

Students must fill out the online exam form on the official University of Delhi or DU SOL exam portal by the deadline that has been set. Candidates must turn in the exam form to take the semester exams.

Date Sheet Release

University of Delhi puts out the official semester-wise date sheet on the DU SOL website after the examination form process is over. It includes subject codes, exam dates, and times.

Download Admit Card

Before the tests, DU SOL posts the admit card online. Students need to get their admit card from the official website and bring it with them to the test centre.
