Amity University Hyderabad is part of the national Amity University network. The campus is located in Mamidipally, Ranga Reddy district — on the outskirts of Hyderabad, roughly 45–50 km from Hitech City and Gachibowli (Hyderabad's IT hub). That distance is worth noting: you're not getting the immediacy of Hyderabad's tech ecosystem that you'd get from a campus in Kondapur or Madhapur.

The campus itself is large, green, and purpose-built — around 50+ acres with good infrastructure. Student strength is approximately 2,000–2,500 across programs (2026).

Hyderabad's IT and pharma industries give Amity's campus here a reasonable recruiting base. The location is further from Hitech City than ideal, but Amity does pan-India placement drives that bring in companies from Noida and Mumbai drive too.

But Amity wins on ease of admission — no entrance exam required, pan-India brand recognition, and national placement drives.

Location reality check: Mamidipally is 50 km from Hitech City. If you're targeting Hyderabad IT roles, you'll likely be applying for pan-India drives (Infosys, TCS, Wipro) anyway — Amity's national network actually helps here. But for local networking and startup exposure in Hyderabad's ecosystem, the distance is a real disadvantage.

Good choice if: You want Amity's national brand (useful if you might relocate post-graduation), prefer no entrance exam, or are from Telangana/AP and want a private residential campus near (but not in) Hyderabad.

Not ideal if: Your budget is tight — GITAM, ICFAI, or government Osmania offer better value. You want immediate Hyderabad startup/IT ecosystem access — campus distance is significant. You can crack TSICET for JNTU/Osmania (costs 10x less for comparable outcomes).
