Bhangar Mahavidyalaya (BM) Campus

The 3.61-acre campus of Bhangar Mahavidyalaya, 24 Parganas South (B.M.), has lots of amenities that a student will need for their development. The Bhangar Mahavidyalaya (B.M.) campus has a well-built Wi-Fi network within the entire area. In addition, the entire campus is under 24 hrs CCTV surveillance to provide security. The institute believes in providing rural students with the best environment for learning to fulfil their dreams. 

Bhangar Mahavidyalaya Infrastructure

The college library covers a total area of 2800 sq feet. There is a separate website for the library at Bhangar Mahavidyalaya, 24 Parganas South, from which the students are able to know which books are available in the college library. All questions and syllabus are available for each subject. The students can download the syllabus and question bank of respective subjects. There is a library sub-committee that looks after the proper functioning of the library system. Students can also put their queries and suggestions about the library. The college has an auditorium to conduct different activities. The college also has a laboratory for students to conduct experiments to better understand and apply the theory.

Bhangar Mahavidyalaya Facilities

Canteen: The Bhangar Mahavidyalaya College has a spacious canteen that serves different types of food, snacks, tea, coffee, etc., to the students and staff of this college. These foods are available at nominal rates for the economically weaker sections of the students. 

NSS: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the college, established in 2005, organizes different types of activities like Blood Donation Camps, Seminars, Safai Abhiyan, etc. Currently, the college has a functional unit of NCC under 33 Bengal Battalion NCC (Both Boys and Girls). It is under the supervision of an NCC-trained teacher, which inculcates the spirit of discipline, patriotism, and nationalism among the students.

Library: BM South 24 Parganas has a large library and a website for the library to help students. 

Scholarships at Bhangar Mahavidyalaya include the Swami Vivekananda scholarship. The Government of West Bengal has introduced this scholarship in order to help the meritorious students belonging to the economically backward families of West Bengal. The Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme is an initiative to encourage students to study at the undergraduate level within the state.

Eligibility Criteria for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

• The candidate must be a resident of West Bengal.
• He/ she should have secured at least 60% marks in total aggregate to make himself eligible for this scholarship. Aspirants should pass the H.S. Examination from the W.B. Council of H.S. Education or Madrasha Siksha Parishad.
• Applicants should have pursued higher secondary studies at an educational institute in West Bengal after passing out from a state board, or state council of secondary or higher secondary education or Madrasah education.
• The family income of the family should not be more than Rs 2.5 lakhs. 

Scholarship Amount

• The scholarship amount for the arts and commerce stream is Rs 1000 per month.
• The scholarship amount for the science stream is Rs 1500 per month.

Note # Candidates who opt for these scholarships will not be allowed to opt for any other state or central scholarship or stipend for the same course.

• Visit the official website of West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation.
• Register as a new user to apply for the scholarship.
• Log in to your account using your user I.D. and password.
• Fill in all the required details.
• Upload all the supporting documents and finally submit the application form duly attested by the head of the institution.
