The Ministry of Education (MoE) has released the NIRF ranking 2025 on September 4, 2025. As per the rankings, IIT Gandhinagar has achieved an NIRF rank of 25 in the Engineering category, a rank of 36 in the Research Institutions category. The students of the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar have access to different scholarships and financial aid. The schemes are offered by governments, donors, alumni, or by the institution itself. 

Some scholarships by IIT Gandhinagar are

• Wavering tuition fees for undergraduate students 
  • Whose family income is Rs 100,000 get full remission of tuition fees
  • Whose family income is between Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 5 Lakh get half remission of the tuition fees
  • Students whose family income is less than INR 9 Lakh can have access to interest-free loans to cover the entire tuition fees under the Vidyalakshmi scheme
• Free basic messing and pocket allowance are provided to SC/ ST students applying for B. Tech and M. Sc programs whose annual income does not exceed Rs 4.5 Lakh
• Students with the highest CPI in their respective disciplines are awarded Rs 2000 per month for 10 consecutive months. But if the student has won a scholarship of equal or of higher value, then they can only receive INR 5000 as a one-time receipt.
• Each year, six scholarships are provided to students to encourage excellence in sports and games. Students can receive Rs 2000 per month for 10 consecutive months.
