From first to fourth year, IIT Mandi offers a unique curriculum that includes real-world design projects. Students from many branches collaborate in teams. Students in their first and second years indulge in assignments that are generally completed in third and fourth years at other B.Tech colleges. IIT Mandi provides a congenial atmosphere with instructors and students mixing. During any discrepancy, candidates have easy access to faculty, Deans, and the Director. Faculty members participate in sports and other activities and eat in the mess with the students. Students can participate in sports such as cricket, football, tennis, and volleyball.
What special measures does IIT Mandi have to ensure the safety of female students?
IIT Mandi is located in Himachal Pradesh, one of India's most peaceful states. The campus is completely safe, especially for female students. It is highly wholesome without the pollution and traffic of cities because it is located in the tranquil Uhl River Valley far from cities. A healthy climate that is warm in the summer and chilly in the winter. IIT Mandi campus offers a safe and secure atmosphere for female students to pursue careers and participate in co-curricular activities in order to attain their objectives. Aside from raising awareness and fostering a gender-sensitive work environment via the Women's Centre, IIT Mandi has an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to handle any sexual harassment complaints.
Can I change my branch in IIT Mandi?
Yes, students can change their branch in IIT Mandi. To be considered for a branch change, the student must apply before the end of the second semester of their study. The applicant must state, in order of preference, the branch or branches to which they wish to make a change. Branch change applications will be evaluated strictly on merit, as determined by the CGPA of first-year courses. If a seat becomes available at any point during the process, it will be provided to the candidate with the highest CGPA.
Is any scholarship offered for an MBBS course at Manipal University?
Yes, the Kalam–Pai Scholarship is offered for an MBBS course at Manipal University. Candidates must have obtained 80% marks in aggregate with Physics + Chemistry + Biology in 10+2 to become eligible for this scholarship. Eligible candidates can avail themselves of Rs 5,000 per month.
Is any scholarship offered for an MD course at Manipal University?
Yes, a Merit Scholarship for Post Graduate (PG) Medical/ Dental and Super Specialty Programs is offered for an MD course at Manipal University. However, candidates must have obtained an MBBS degree from an institution/ university recognized by the National Medical Council (NMC)/ erstwhile Medical Council of India (MCI) to become eligible for the scholarship. A 35% waiver on course fee is offered for the MD Community Medicine course.
