KL University, formerly known as Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering, and Koneru Lakshmaiah University was established in 1980 as KL College of Engineering. Its campus is over 100 acres of land in Green Fields, Vaddeswaram Andhra Pradesh. It is recognised by the UGC and has received an A++ grade from NAAC. As per the rankings, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation University (K L College of Engineering) has achieved an NIRF rank of 35 in the Engineering category with a score of 58.95. The institute has also secured an NIRF rank of 70 in the Management category with a score of 49.89.

KL University's course list comprises undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses across many streams like management, accounting, philosophy, and others. The courses are offered in distance mode as well. KL University Guntur admission is offered both based on merit and based on entrance exams like JEE Main/Advanced/EAMCET for B.Tech, NATA for B.Arch, KLUMAT/ICET for MBA, and so on. University facilities include all the requirements for the holistic development of its students. The classrooms are technologically advanced, along with well-equipped laboratories. The placement cell works throughout the year for the betterment of the students so that they can get job offers from their chosen companies. A total of 400 organisations participated in the KL University placement drive 2024, wherein the average package offered was Rs 7.8 LPA.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has released the NIRF ranking 2025. As per the rankings, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation University (K L College of Engineering) has achieved an NIRF rank of 35 in the Engineering category with a score of 58.95. The institute has also secured an NIRF rank of 70 in the Management category with a score of 49.89.

Cutoff

KL University Guntur cutoff 2024 is yet to be released for admission. The cut off marks are decided based on different factors affecting admissions, including the number of seats, the number of applicants, and the difficulty level of the question paper. Students who meet the KL University Guntur cutoff will be provided the seats in the university. Campus Life & Facilities

  • Library- The central library at the university has a large collection of documents and books, with more than 1,95,000 books and 32,000 non-book materials, including well-known databases. The material present in the library is relevant to different forces provided by the university, such as Agricultural Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Law, and specialised books and journals.
  • Hostels- KL University campus provides separate hostels for girls and boys. The hostels include furnished rooms + modern amenities, including a kitchen and dining area. There are two hostels for girls and four hostels for boys.
  • Transport- The university provides 84 non A/C buses and 02 A/C buses covering all the important points in Vijayawada City, Guntur, Tenali, Mangalagiri, Vuyyuru, Kankipadu & Dondapadu (via Thullur). The buses come with a seating capacity of 400 students in a total of two shifts.
  • Cafeteria- A spacious canteen is made available for the students, with the latest equipment and hygiene maintained all year. Quality food and prompt services are provided to cater to the needs of the students and the staff. 
  • Clubs- Hobby building clubs are available at the university and are mainly managed by the students. There are different clubs available, such as music society, dance club, drama society, literary and debating club, English press club, drawing club, painting club, mime club, computer club, etc.
