Data &Methodology

We believe students should know exactly how we collect and show the information they use to make big decisions.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Choosing a college is a very important decision. This choice should be based on information you can trust. At Padhaao, we are open about where our data comes from. This page explains how we collect data, build rankings, and check information to keep it fair.

Data Sources

We get college and course data from many places to make sure it is correct and fair:

  • Official College Data: Information from college websites and brochures. This includes fees, courses, teachers, and campus details.
  • Government & Education Boards: Data from boards like the UGC, AICTE, NAAC, and NIRF. We check their rankings, accreditation, and rules.
  • Public Reports: Reports from the Ministry of Education and other official higher education departments in India.
  • Verified Student Reviews: Real stories from students and alumni on Padhaao. They talk about classes, jobs, campus life, and how happy they are.
  • Our Own Surveys: Data we collect through student surveys and by working directly with colleges and companies.

Data Verification Process

Data is only helpful if it is correct. Here is how we check it:

  • Checking Sources: We compare data from different places. If there is a difference, we trust official government boards (like NIRF or UGC) the most.
  • Regular Updates: We update college profiles often to show the latest fees, new courses, and recent job placement info.
  • Checking Reviews: We read every student review before it goes live. We make sure it follows our Review Guidelines and looks correct.
  • Community Help: Users can tell us if they find wrong info. We investigate every report and fix mistakes fast.

Ranking Methodology

Our rankings look at five main areas. These are the things that matter most to students when choosing a college:

  • Academic Quality (30%): We look at teacher degrees, student-to-teacher count, government grades, and how useful the courses are for jobs.
  • Job Placements (25%): We check how many students find jobs, the highest and average salary, and where students go after college.
  • Student Experience (20%): We use real review scores from Padhaao. We look at teaching, campus life, hostels, and how happy students are.
  • Fees & Scholarships (15%): We compare the total cost of the course to the jobs students get. We also check for financial aid and loan help.
  • Facilities (10%): We look at libraries, labs, Wi-Fi, sports areas, hostel quality, and safety.

We use these scores to rank colleges fairly within their own group (like engineering or management). This makes comparisons much easier. Learn more on our College Rankings page.

Editorial Independence

Our rankings and reviews are independent. We don't let money change our data. Here is how we stay fair:

  • No college can pay to get a better ranking or score.
  • We do not remove bad reviews just because a college asks us to.
  • Our business partnerships never affect our ranking decisions.
  • Any paid content is always clearly marked so you know it is an ad.

Limitations & Continuous Improvement

No system is perfect, and we are always learning. Some new colleges might have less data, and student reviews are only a small sample. We are always working to get more data and improve how we check it to give you the best information.

Questions & Feedback

We value your questions and feedback. If you think any data is wrong or have ideas on how we can improve, please email us at support@padhaao.com. We take every message seriously.
